Depression & Low Mood Therapy
Everyone has periods of feeling down. But when low mood lingers, it can begin to affect how you see yourself, your relationships, and your ability to move through daily life.
You might notice:

-
Feeling persistently sad, empty, or numb
-
Losing motivation or interest in things you used to enjoy
-
Feeling exhausted or drained most of the time
-
Harsh self-criticism or feelings of worthlessness
-
Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
-
Withdrawing from people or activities
-
Changes in sleep or appetite

Depression can make life feel heavy and isolating. Many people feel stuck in patterns of self-doubt, hopelessness, or emotional shutdown. You don’t have to navigate that alone.
At Core Connections Psychology Centre, we help people understand the deeper patterns behind depression and find ways to reconnect with themselves and their lives.

Understanding Depression and Low Mood
Depression often develops gradually. It can emerge after stressful life events, relationship difficulties, burnout, trauma, or long periods of emotional strain. Sometimes it feels like your energy has disappeared. Other times it may show up as irritability, numbness, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Depression isn’t a personal weakness — it’s often your mind and body responding to experiences that have been overwhelming or painful. Therapy can help bring understanding to these experiences and support meaningful change.
