Therapy for ADHD, Autism & Neurodivergent Experiences
Many people experience the world in ways that don’t always fit traditional expectations.
If you are neurodivergent — or suspect you may be — you may have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like you need to constantly “mask” who you are.
You might experience:
-
Difficulty with focus or attention
-
Feeling easily overwhelmed by sensory input
-
Emotional intensity or burnout
-
Challenges with organization or executive functioning
-
Social exhaustion or feeling different from others
-
A lifelong sense of trying to keep up or fit in

Therapy can provide a space to understand your brain, reduce shame, and build strategies that work for how you naturally function.

Neurodivergent Therapy in Ontario
Core Connections Psychology Centre provides therapy for adolescents and adults virtually across Ontario, and in person in Collingwood and Newmarket. Our therapists use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Coaching and other trauma-informed approaches to help clients understand neurodivergence and create lasting change.
Understanding Neurodivergence
Neurodivergence includes experiences such as:
-
ADHD
-
Autism spectrum differences
-
Learning differences
-
Sensory processing differences
-
Highly Sensitive People
Many neurodivergent individuals grow up receiving messages that they are “too much,” “not enough,” or simply different from what is expected.
Over time this can lead to anxiety, burnout, self-criticism, or difficulties with relationships.
Therapy focuses on understanding these experiences and supporting a healthier relationship with yourself.
